It’s so dark!
So, when normally our power only goes out by building as Mongolian electrician men do whatever they do several times a week, tonight someone decided to pull the BIG plug, the Erdenet plug. At 6:00pm tonight the entire city was plunged into inky blackness and it’s now 7:00pm with no light in sight except a few flickering candles in two or three windows across the way. People outside actually cheered when it went out, but I’m sure it was mostly young boys delighted with the opportunity to play pranks more than glee shared by the general populous.
