Eternal Hibernation

I’ve decided to go into the Eternal Hibernation. Yes, it is a real state of mind / body. Today we went to the Nomin Supermarket where nice foods and things can be found beyond the basics of the normal local markets. We had an insider’s heads up that a new batch of bed quilts from the Erdenet Carpet Factory would be arriving today. Erdenet Carpet makes some REALLY great stuff and we know two girls that work there. We got to Nomin just as the truck was unloading (get this, it’s a blizzard today and it was just a big Russian garbage truck filled with bags of new quilts haha) so we browsed a bit while they brought in the new quilts. We then proceeded to jump on the pile of new quilts searching for one suitable for our bed, you see, our bed quilt doesn’t really fit right now and one of us always ends up stealing the majority of it during the night. We needed one that was actually made for two people and we found one! A nice blue quilt packed full of freshly (maybe) shorn sheep wool (there was camel wool too) and it’s HUGE. We tested it out and I can literally swim around in it, get lost, never find the surface again, die inside of pure delight, you know… it’s that big. It cost us $32.26 which is a bit steep for Mongolia, but it’s a sheep wool quilt! I’m going to sleep now, if this blog doesn’t see any updates in the next week or so it means I never woke up… Thanks Erdenet Carpet, I died young but I died in pure bliss…
