Recently, the Ukrainian ship MV Faina was boarded by Somalian pirates. They demanded randsom which was soon parachuted down onto the deck in a cargo container (just how much cash/gold/diamonds did they ask for?!). A few observations I have about this photo taken of the incident…
First of all, I guess getting hijacked by Somalian pirates isn’t the scariest thing that could ever happen to you. I would have though these guys would be face down on the deck with their hands tied behind their backs… but no, looks like they’re just hanging out together.
Secondly, the ship was filled with Soviet T-72 tanks bound for Southern Sudan. Forget the ransom! If I were a pirate I’d totally have taken this ship and turned it into my personal world conquering army. Comon guys…
